ROOTOTE's Andy Warhol products are being sold at two of America's art museum shops in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.

An Andy Warhol exhibit entitled The Last Decade will be held in Brooklyn Museum until September 18th. Please come see it if your in the area!

The Brooklyn Museum is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the U.S. boasting 52,000 m2 of space within beaux arts style architecture. The art museum has one of the world's foremost permanent collections which includes everything from Egyptian master works to modern art and contains art representing various cultures in the world. The museum can be quickly reached from Manhattan by going 30 minutes to the recently remodeled station. The art museum is surrounded by Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Prospect Park Zoo which are adjacent to an 18th century park and gardens.

MOCA (The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles) is exclusively a contemporary art museum. The museum's American modern art collection is one of the greatest on the west coast and this is adorned by MOMA in New York. As a part of the downtown redevelopment project in 1986, the museum was built using the design of Japanese architect, Arata Isozaki. A feature of the museum is that many of the collected items are not limited to objects or paintings but unconventional works.

Gagosian Gallery began in the mid-eighties in Los Angeles, and became bi-coastal in 1985 with a space on West 23rd Street in Manhattan. Gagosian Gallery dedicated itself to organizing important exhibitions of contemporary art, while presenting earlier works of art from the modern era, a goal

which has been maintained throughout Gagosian Gallery's history. In the 1980s, the Los Angeles gallery showed the work of young contemporary artists such as Eric Fischl, Jean-Michel Basquiat and David Salle, as the New York City space mounted exhibitions dedicated to the history of The New York School, Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art by showing the earlier work of Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein and Willem de Kooning.

In 1989, a new and more spacious gallery opened in New York City at 980 Madison Avenue with the inaugural exhibition: The Maps of Jasper Johns. During its first two years, the Madison Avenue space presented work by Yves Klein, Andy Warhol,

Cy Twombly and Jackson Pollock. At the same time, several important artists such as Walter de Maria, Philip Taaffe and Francesco Clemente joined the gallery.

September 2009 brought further expansion with the opening of the first retail venue for Gagosian Gallery at 988 Madison Avenue designed by Daniel Rowen Architects with MN Design in collaboration with Gagosian Gallery. The store features Gagosian's renowned publications, posters, prints, and magazines as well as limited editions by Gagosian artists including John Currin, Tom Friedman, Ellen Gallagher, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Marc Newson, Richard Prince, Anselm Reyle, Ed Ruscha, Tom Sachs, and Franz West to name a few. This vibrant venture offers our artists an exciting new opportunity to create innovative projects in the medium of editions and artists books.

This year we also hosted a Tote as Canvas Charity Event in Taiwan from Friday February 5 to Wednesday March 10. Works supplied by 23 famous Taiwanese groups (24 works) were exhibited in the gallery space of the ROOTOTE GALLERY Zhongxiao location. The charity auction was implemented through the Yahoo Qimo portal, with proceeds donated to Republic of China Children's Charity Association to help their work supplying long-term education and treatment for physically disabled children and guardians of orphans or children who have suffered from various tragic events. The reception on location at ROOTOTE GALLERY Zhongxiao at the opening of the exhibit saw many of the Taiwanese stars that participated in the plan in attendance!
